Master of Applied Bioscience

The Master of Applied Bioscience (MAB) enables students to be exposed to a range of the latest technologies and biology techniques in the field of applied bioscience. Students will also gain exposure in other fields as UniKL MESTECH works closely with other institutes via transdisciplinary research such as clinical laboratory with nanotechnology as well as alternative medicine with bioprocess technology. MAB graduates have a better opportunity for career advancement in their current job or within the applied bioscience area either in government or private agencies such as Researcher, Scientist, Academician, Technical Specialist, or Consultant.

Programme Educational Objectives

To produce UniKL graduates who are:

Programme Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme, graduates must be able to:

PLO 1 Master enhanced knowledge and skills in research subjects as well as current developments in applied bioscience research.
PLO 2 Apply progressive, innovative and creative ideas, and strategies for conducting research activities in applied bioscience.

PLO 3

 Identify and evaluate problems related to applied bioscience research in the society and provide holistic solutions for the problems and suggest implementation of policies and guidelines when necessary.

PLO 4

 Execute the ability to conduct research with minimal supervision and strictly adhere to legal, professional and ethical values in the field of applied bioscience research.

PLO 5

 Apply the ability to analyze and disseminate information in detail and communicate effectively with peers of researchers, scholarly community, stakeholders and society.
PLO 6 Apply scientific approaches and problem-solving techniques for planning and solving problems through critical analyses.
PLO 7 Demonstrate the ability to apply ICT skills, leadership, teamwork, entrepreneurial skills and lifelong learning independently.
